About Me
Hello! My name is Candace Blackwood, and I am the counselor here at Mount Olive Intermediate School. I am originally from Phenix City, and it feels great to be back home after supporting my husband throughout his military career. My husband, Shawn, recently retired from the Army after serving for almost 21 years. We have a daughter named Ellana who is in elementary school and who keeps us busy.
I completed my B.A. in Psychology at Auburn University (War Eagle) and my M.S. in Community Counseling at Troy University. With more than 15 years of experience in mental health and social services, particularly working with children and families, I am enthusiastic about my work and looking forward to this school year.
